Aquamare Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands – Located on the scenic Western coast of Virgin Gorda at Mahoe Bay, Aquamare opened in March 2008 and is a villa enclave set along a half-mile of pristine beach frontage. Designed and constructed specifically as elite villa vacation homes with multiple ensuite Master Suites, Aquamare sets the new benchmark for luxury villa rentals on one of the B.V.I.'s quietest and most exclusive islands. Purposely built for large gatherings, each of the three 8,000-square foot Villas have open kitchens and exceptionally spacious living areas that flow seamlessly onto the marble infinity pool terrace, which is just a few stone steps away from the private white coral sandy beach that overlooks the Francis Drake Channel. An on-site concierge, a rarity amongst villa rentals, is available to arrange private chef services, a spa treatment and rental of Aquamare’s Azimut yacht. The Azimut brings the same five-star attributes of the villa onto the sea and is another signature feature of the Aquamare experience that makes the villa enclave an ideal choice for families, wedding parties and virtually any guest looking for a Caribbean holiday escape that combines the best characteristics of a private home stay with the high level services of a resort.

Cap Maison, Saint Lucia – Now celebrating its one year anniversary after opening in 2008. Cap Maison is set on a stunning four-acre, cliff-top parcel of land just minutes north of popular Rodney Bay, and features 50 artfully appointed suites and guest rooms. The property has been selected by Condé Nast Traveler as a "Hot List" Hotel in 2009, and has also become a Virtuoso Hotel in 2009 as well as a member of the Preferred Boutique Hotels group, adding to St. Lucia's unprecedented growth in luxury developments over the years. Other stand-out features include The Cliff at Cap, the resort's signature restaurant with breathtaking panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea. Executive Chef Craig Joes serves a French West Indian-inspired contemporary menu based on fresh local products and seafood. The resort also features a 2,000 square foot intimate and serene spa with an adjacent garden that provides herbs for signature indigenous treatments, as well as a private 46-foot luxury yacht available for evening voyages, wedding parties, special events and day or overnight excursions to any of the nearby Windward Islands.

Ladera, Saint Lucia – A sublime absence of technology or telephones in the guest rooms, coupled with sweeping open-air views of the twin Piton peaks, makes Ladera one of the most unique Caribbean getaways. The hotel is perched on a ridge at 1,100 feet above sea level. All suites are intentionally designed without a fourth wall affording guests with unobstructed panoramas of the sea, the dramatic Pitons and the lush, tropical rainforest. Rooms range from a one-bedroom suite to new Dream Suites and two-bedroom villas, all with private pools. In December Ladera opens the new Paradise Pavilion, a stunning wedding venue destined to become the Caribbean’s pre-eminent setting for ceremonies and receptions of up to 100 guests. The newly constructed Pavilion is located along Ladera’s extraordinary rainforest ridge, on previously undeveloped land adjacent to the hotel. Architecturally, the 1,200 square-foot Pavilion is a showpiece venue featuring the same renowned open-air design concept found throughout the resort with the famously unending panoramic views. The Pavilion is crafted in Ladera’s signature rainforest style, with terracotta flooring, columns milled and richly polished from tropical greenheart wood, as well as cut stone and tile work crafted by local St. Lucian masons.

Lake Geneva Region, Switzerland – Located in the French-speaking part of Western Switzerland, the Lake Geneva Region is an enduring, picture-postcard place of classic beauty. The region is seemingly timeless (in the heart of watch-making no less), with rolling vineyards, lakeside promenades and Five Star, Belle Époque-era hotels. Yet, the area has a dynamic, innovative side as well. For example, Lausanne’s Flon district, in the former industrial area, is now a hip SoHo-style quarter brimming with wine bars, art galleries, night clubs, boutiques and restaurants. The Charlie Chaplin Heritage Site is located in Corsier-sur-Vevey at the Manoir de Ban in Corsier above Montreux-Vevey. The museum and film center celebrate the silent comedian’s extraordinary life and work. The manor, his former home with outbuildings and a garden, have been restored to their former glory, with exhibits inspired by Chaplin’s works. There’s also the Lavaux Vineyards which have been named a UNESCO World Heritage site in June 2007. The Tralala Hotel in Montreux, built around the theme of music, has undergone complete renovations and is now open to the public. Open in time for the winter season, The Chalet RoyAlp & Spa Hotel, is a new five star palace located at the heart of the Alpine village of Villars. And this winter kids up to 9 years Ski and Stay for Free. Watch this space for more on the Lavaux Vinorama wine center opening in Spring 2010. Located in the heart of the Lavaux vineyards (a UNESCO World Heritage site), the Vinorama will be an information and tasting center with over 300 different wines from the region.
